I believe that all of Scripture is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It was breathed out by Him, and while individual verses must be read and understood within the context of genre, history, grammar, and connection to other Scriptures, the Bible as a whole serves as God’s primary means of speaking to us. God’s Word—His WHOLE Word—is the ultimate authority for all believers.

That said, there are certainly passages and specific verses that hold more relevance or personal significance. And the words of Jesus absolutely fall into this highlight-worthy category (hence the popularity of Red Letter editions of the Bible). It was a joy to spend dedicated time with a few of Jesus’ sayings during the season of Lent. Of course, my Lenten Reflections barely skimmed the surface of Jesus’ words as recorded in the Gospels. Today, I’d like to share 28 more truth-filled quotes from Jesus.

I hope you’ve been encouraged by these words today. And I hope you are inspired to pick up God’s Word, flip to the Gospels, and spend a little more time with our friend Jesus. I can think of no better way to spend a few extra minutes today.
