About

Hi there! I’m Kendra, the voice behind KendraNicole.net. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet!

I began this blog in 2013 after years of prompting from family and friends to “share my writing, already” with more than just the pages of my journal. Since then, I’ve been sharing my thoughts on everything from products and books I adore (and some that I don’t!), to writers and podcasters that inspire me, contemplations on faith and motherhood, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Most recently, I’ve been sharing about our family’s adventures since our move to Austin, Texas in 2016—quite a transition, after having spent my first three decades as a Southern California girl! I truly believe that God has given each of us a unique story worth sharing, and I am so thankful for the chance to share mine openly and vulnerably in this space.

A little about me: I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Luke, for almost fourteen years (you can read about our courtship and engagement here). In January of 2015 we welcomed baby Charleston into the word and in September of 2019, after a painful journey through secondary infertility, we became a family of five with the births of our twins, Sullivan and Kalinda. I have a background in education, but I am blessed now to be able to stay at home, homeschooling our First Grader and chasing after two active toddlers! I’m an eating disorder survivor (I share a little of my journey here) and a follower of Jesus, and my faith makes a prominent appearance in my life and in my writing. I enjoy long walks, deep conversations, thought-provoking podcasts, and huge mugs of tea, and nothing makes me happier than a good personality profile. (I’m an INFJ, a SP 1w9 married to a 5w6, and an Upholder. And if that last sentence made sense to you, you and I are destined to be friends!)
